Microsoft Wearable Tech

Microsoft have patented a wearable glasses that share information of the meal in front of your eyes, including information on fat content, calorie count, and carbs and sugars, on the inside of the lens.  The patents also covers eye movement to detect if the wearer is in a buffet and considering all the options. The glasses also monitor temperature and motion, which could be used to provide suggestions for better health, such as lighter meals during hot months, or hearty meals when it’s cold outside.

The glasses could also certain certain ingredients in the meal, which could save lives of those who have specific dietary needs. For example, the glasses can save a diabetic’s life when a restaurant makes a mistake by serving a cake with sugar, or a patient with Celiac disease may be served with a gluten-crust pizza.

The glasses may not be made solely to tell the wearer on choosing the food wisely, it is the life-saving opportunities that earns the applause for the patent.
